  I have been to Simply Sugar several times and normally, I love them! I have never had any complaints until this last time I got my Brazilian. It was done by an older woman who seemed to not know what she was doing. 1st off, the sugar she began with was colder than normal. This alarmed me, but I figured she knew what she was doing and let her continue. The moment she started with the cold wax, I was in pain. It felt like my hairs were pulling out of my skin as she applied the wax (normally, it’s warm and coats the hair before the pulling starts.) Then, she started removing the sugar with several tiny yanks (I’m used to one painful yank and then small ones to get stubborn hairs out) I’m guessing since the sugar was cold, it wasn’t removing well. THIS WAS VERY PAINFUL. My body starts to sweat cause it hurts so bad and I’ve been on the table for so long that I get cold. It took over 40 min for her to finish, normally a 15 appointment. Now I’m uncomfortable, sugar is flying everywhere and this woman continues to tell me that the pain I’m experiencing is because sugar is painful and that I need regular wax. I informed her that I get sugar all the time and I’ve never experienced this, she still insist that the pain is a result of the sugar. I ignore the comment and try to focus on my phone as a distraction. Next thing I know, she has placed a regular wax roller on my skin without my permission. When I asked what she is doing, she yet again, tells me that I need regular wax instead of sugar. I’m livid at this point because I know this woman doesnt know what she is doing. She told me that she couldnt make my Brazilian clean without using a regular wax! I told her no, and she continued anyways. My vagina was so sensitive after this Brazilian and super sticky since she didn’t know how to use the sugar! When I went home, my vagina was raised with bumps and sticky sugar (not smooth and silky like normal.) I watched it for days and it didn’t go down, it got WORSE! My ingrown hairs were so bad and I was pissed because I get a Brazilian to insure that I WONT have bumps. I had to start treating it with lavender and coconut oil to go down! I was truly appalled by this treatment and service from simply sugar. Just when I thought I found the perfect place for a Brazilian, this happens! I won’t be going back.
